ITSM Service Asset and Configuration Engineer (Closed)

Our client is an investment management company, and they are looking to hire an ITSM Service Asset and Configuration Engineer.

About the Opportunity

• Role ideal for a ServiceNow expert with hands on experience in implementing and managing the process and policy related to the lifecycle management of IT assets (hardware and software), and most importantly Configuration Management Database (CMDB)
• Will work closely with Configuration Item (CI) owners to ensure proper tracking of the assets through their lifecycle (requestion through disposal) and to help validate & maintain their data, will have strong experience in Service mapping (e.g., between Windows & ServiceNow) and validation of and auditing of Discovery data, resolving CI conflicts and mitigating and/or eliminating duplicate records
• This would be the sole CMDB role in the team, responsibility will involve Service Mapping - 70% and ServiceNow configuration knowledge (adding fields, reporting etc.) - 30%. Role is essentially managing AMDB and troubleshooting
• Approx 5-6 thousand assets

About You

• 5-10 years of experience in IT Service Management
• 3-5 Years with Service Asset and Configuration Management
• Experience of ServiceNow Administration as it relates to Asset Management and CMDB
• Hands on experience in Service Mapping
• ServiceNow configuration experience (Adding fields, reporting)
• Excellent soft skills, ability to manage vendors, users
• ITIL process knowledge a big plus

Bonus Items:

• Bachelor’s degree within business, computer science area or equivalent experience
• ITIL Foundations v3/v4
• ITIL Managing Professional Level or Intermediate
• CoBIT (Preferred)

Salary Range

$115,000/year
