IT Security Specialist (Closed)

About the Company   

Our client is a large multimational private manufacturer in Markham looking to hire an IT Security Specialist for a hybrid full time position – 3 days in the office in Markham. 

About the Opportunity 

• Cyber toolset: Rapid7, CrowdStrike, Proofpoint, BeyondTrust, FortiGate/Cisco firewalls, Windows/VMWare servers with some Linux machines. 

• This role will be responsible for the following areas: 

• Assist with cyber tools/strategies, working to improve security toolset and posture according to best practices (e.g., NIST/ISO) 

• Continuous improvement on proper configuration of cyber tools 

• Projects, and vetting incoming applications (vendor and custom developed) for security best practices 

• New cyber tool deployments (e.g., IAM, SDWAN) 

• Vulnerability management  

About You 

• Proven progressive IT Security experience, including hands-on positions, architecture/design 

• Strong experience managing full cycle of Cybersecurity - from endpoints to servers/networks, etc. 

• Strong tool experience (Siem, email, endpoint, DLP, AIP, M365, IAM, etc.), vulnerability management 

• Strong framework/process/best practices understanding - ITIL, NIST, SOC, etc. 

• Good communication and presentation skills 

• Ability to commute to Markham office 3 days/week

Salary Range 

$115,000/year
