IT Security Administrator (Closed)

About the Company 

Our client is a large North American manufacturer located in Mississauga/Brampton area, and they are looking to hire an IT Security Specialist.  

About the Opportunity 

• 33% hands-on work with servers and networks in terms of hardening, monitoring of Windows servers and Cisco devices, performing vulnerability assessments, etc 

• 33% working with the existing IT team to delegate some of the above tasks, showing them what should be done on a day-to-day basis from a security perspective, having them deal with some incidents, working on checklists for them to follow, etc. 

• 33% working on policies, reviewing security reports, dealing with management/stakeholders 

About You 

• Strong server/network security/hardening experience (eg Windows, Cisco, VPN, Azure/O365) 

• Experience with Intrusion Detection/Prevention, Malware Protection, Endpoint Security, Incident Management, Data Loss Prevention, Network Security (both Wired & Wireless), Vulnerability/Risk assessments and remediation plans 

• Staying on top of trends, patching, new technology and new threats 

• System/Network monitoring and reporting 

• Good communication skills (dealing with internal teams and vendors) 

• (CISA, CISM, CISSP, GSEC) or actively working on certification 

• Cloud exposure (preferably Azure) 

Salary Range 

$95,000/year
