About the Company

Our client is located in Mississauga, Ontario - and they are looking to hire a Full-Time IT Operations Manager to join their project team. 

About the Opportunity

• This role will be leading Level 2 support team of 4 (level 1 is outsourced)
• This role is 30% hands on support and 70% management, people and team leadership experience is important
• Candidate and team will provide Tier 2 desktop support, basic Server troubleshooting, network issues and escalations.
• The company has an MSP vendor to handle any more complex technical issues on server/network
• Client is moving to AWS and candidate will be expected to have basic knowledge of infrastructure support and communication with vendors

About You

• Progressive hands-on technical positions in IT Support
• Service Desk/Infrastructure Lead / Management experience
• Experience improving IT Service Delivery through ITIL, KPIs, etc
• Experience in developing and delivering documentation, policies, or procedures
• Ability to commute to Mississauga a few days a week
• Active Directory / Office 365 support experience is an asset
• Experience in infrastructure architecture, data centers, servers, and networks is an asset
• Knowledge in Windows Server technologies including Windows Server 2016/2019, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and Group Policies is an asset
• Experience with basic layer 2 Cisco network fundamentals, VMWare 6.7 Support including network and shared storage is an asset
