About the Company  

Our client specializes in real-life hands-on training to assist new to country students build the skills required for a career in Canada. 

 

About the Opportunity 

  • The IT Helpdesk Analyst will provide Tier 1 technical support to internal and external staff and students 

  • This includes resolving connectivity issues, workstation, application and communication issues 

  • 90% of the activities are managed through the virtual helpdesk, managing password resets, and general IT inquiries 

  • Currently most of the work is being performed remotely, but there is occasional onsite to support ad-hoc in-class student work (lab work) 

  • Hardware supported could be student-provided machines, and school provided loaner laptops 

  • 10% of the role would be helpdesk and general facilities support including moving furniture, putting up signs, mounting peripherals 

  • Other activities include maintaining equipment, O/S, applications, antivirus, clean Windows installation, and maintaining user access roles and privileges in Active Director, Office 365 and Azure 

  • There could be some project work with the 3rd party vendor, depending on the candidate skill level 

 

About You 

  • College Diploma in Help Desk Technical Support or related discipline 

  • 1+ years of applicable IT Helpdesk / Technical Support experience 

  • Knowledgeable and experienced with Windows/PC environment and management of Windows Server 2008 & 2012 

  • Able to set up workstations and network wiring based on a given plan and having the creativity to set up an efficient network within the space 

  • Exposure in Active Directory, Office 365 and Azure, MSOffice proficiency including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook 

  • Ability to commute between different work locations within the GTA as required 

  • Ability to occasionally lift heavier items such as computer, A/V or office furniture and handle off-desk as well as desk work 

 

Salary Range 

$48,000/year
