About the Opportunity

  • Provide documented justification for acquiring technology
  • Ensure all required project documentation is completed and accurate including application support, governance and compliance, technical specs, etc.
  • Develop project plan schedules and budgets for assigned projects and get appropriate approvals
  • Provide direction to project team and conduct regular project team meetings ensuring that minutes are kept
  • Monitor and track project activities to ensure project remains on schedule
  • Manage project scope and ensure project deliverables are met and on time
  • Create and obtain approval of project change requests as required to adjust project scope, timeline and/or budget
  • Track all project issues and manage issues resolution
  • Provide regular project status reports to stakeholders, management and project sponsors
  • Develop and deliver project status presentations to various levels of management
  • Ensure quality controls are incorporated within the project
  • Perform project risk assessments and develop plans to mitigate risks
  • Ensure change management processes are followed for all production changes related to projects
  • Provide 2nd level applications support to resolve application issues
  • Design, develop, document, test and implement new applications and enhancements to existing applications
  • Apply patches and coordinate appropriate testing and production implementation
  • Coordinate, schedule and perform upgrades ensuring appropriate testing is performed prior to production implementation
  • Evaluate user requirements for application changes and enhancements
  • Coordinate activities for application changes or enhancements performed by the vendor
  • Work on the creation of ad-hoc reports as required for data analysis

About You

  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or related field of study.
  • 4+ years related experience in a medium size organization
  • Demonstrated project management experience with strong client relationship management skills
  • Experience working in a healthcare environment and systems is preferred
  • Working knowledge of Meditech NPR and RD report writers is highly desired but not required
  • Experience with workflow analysis, systems testing and project schedules is required
  • Responsible to recognize and report working environment safety issues, while identifying and implementing preventative and corrective actions
  • Excellent analytical, problem recognition and creative problem-solving
  • Ability to manage creation, organization and documentation of system/business requirements
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong ability to work well in a team environment
  • Ability to conceptualize and think creatively
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively and efficiently under pressure/stressful conditions and to meet tight deadlines
  • Knowledge of WAN, LAN, Internet and wireless technologies is preferred
  • Knowledge of ITIL is preferred but not required
  • Experience with Microsoft Project or other project management software is required
