Inventory Analyst (Closed)

About the Opportunity

• Administer and maintain the inventory costing system
• Perform periodic inventory counts and reconciliation to software and analyze variances
• Contribute to the review and entering of daily production reports
• Oversee and record inventory transfers to the various company locations
• Analyze profit margins for individual customers and products and follow up and explain material variances
• Calculate and record landed costs of incoming raw materials
• Update the Bills of Material as necessary including costing and recording of new Bills of Material
• Analyze variances and trends in overhead costs and recommend adjustments to Bills of Materials as needed
• Assist in updating price lists and product margins
• Provide ad-hoc assistance to other projects
• Ensure proper financial operating procedures are being followed
• Faithfully serve the Employer and carry out those responsibilities as are necessary or incidental to perform the functions associated with the Position, with the view to the best interests of The Employer

About You

• Post-secondary degree or diploma in either accounting or mathematics
• Proficient in Microsoft Office software with advanced excel knowledge
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to propose changes
• Attention to detail with high standards of precision
• Knowledge of Sage 300 software considered an asset
• Manufacturing industry experience considered an asset

Salary

$50,000 - $55,000/year
