Internal Controls and Policies Analyst – 6 Month Contract

Our client is looking for a contract resource to assist them during a transition period.  The candidate will be responsible for the assessment, measurement, and monitoring of internal controls within the company.

About the Opportunity  

  • Perform walkthroughs of internal controls documentation to ensure documentation is current and accessible by the employees performing the controls; includes identifying and documenting key controls in a narrative, flowchart and risk and controls matrix
  • Document processes and procedures for each control to ensure the documentation is up to date
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Partner with business units to facilitate the identification of internal controls in their processes/programs as well as the impact and likelihood of the control deficiencies
  • Assist in the evaluation of controls when new financial systems and processes are implemented
  • Work with external auditors as required
  • Conduct internal control testing to support and prepares working papers

About You

  • CPA, CA designation and/or CIA
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in audit and controls (SOX / Bill 198)
  • Strong MS Office
