Intermediate Accountant - 3 Month Contract to Permanent (Closed)

About the Opportunity

• Performing monthly accounting journal entries
• Preparing accounts reconciliations and variance analysis
• Review, test and establish controls on all balance sheet items and accounts
• Preparing monthly accounts receivables and financial results reports
• Performing financial analysis and cost management
• Preparation of worksheets for calculation of Commissions payments, interest charges, etc.
• Year-end audit preparation, tax audit preparations and tax return preparation
• Prepare special analysis reports as requested by management
• Assist Accounting Manager with quarterly and annual consolidated reports
• Other duties as assigned by management

About You

• 3-5 years of Finance/Accounting experience in an Accountant role
• Bachelor degree in Accounting, Commerce, Finance or related field
• Pursuing or in possession of CPA
• Excellent Microsoft Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, PivotTables, etc.)
• Experience working with Microsoft Great Plains/Dynamics
• High energy level and “can-do” attitude
• Ability to adapt to a constant changing environment
• Able to work independently as well as be a team player
• Able to manage several projects concurrently
• Ability to communicate in both official languages is preferred

Pay Rate

$27 - $28/hour
