About the Opportunity
- Prepare accounting entries, full cycle accounting and responsible for initiating the accounts payable process in the Corporate office
- Prepare weekly consolidated cash flow/treasury forecast and foreign currency management
- Prepare cheque runs/EFT/Wires
- Maintain accurate and updated Shareholder loan and Equity working papers
- Foreign currency translation and analysis (foreign subsidiaries reporting and operating in foreign currencies)
- Prepare consolidation entries, corporate journal entries, inter-company, shareholder loan and shareholders' equity reconciliations
- Prepare supporting data for Corporate tax returns, GST/HST returns, payroll remittances (if applicable) and other statutory/regulatory filings
About You
- University degree or college diploma in an accounting related field of study
- 3+ years of general accounting experience
- Experience in the mining industry is an asset
- Can work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment and cope with changing priorities
- Good communication skills verbal and written with the ability to collaborate and build relationships
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices
- Highly proficient in Microsoft office with an emphasis on Excel
- Good overall computer skills
- Detailed oriented and strong organizational skills
- Self-motivated with a positive attitude
Salary
$60,000 - $65,000/year
