About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Global VP HR, the Human Resource Business Partner (HRBP) will support business leaders and employees through coaching, collaborating, and partnering to provide proactive solutions to attract, engage and retain a high performing workforce. This position will focus on talent management, organizational effectiveness, workforce planning, and employee engagement.

  • Control job requisitions/salaries, and ensure all job ads are prepared with standard format and aligned with internal policy/budget, as well as benchmarked using benchmarking tools
  • Support the Global VP and HR Manager with Talent Management initiatives including succession planning, job standardization, retention strategies, and development planning
  • Create job descriptions/career pathing/title alignment for respective areas in collaboration with HR Manager
  • Administer leaves of absences which include notifying applicable vendors and submitting short term and long-term disability claims
  • Conduct benefit orientations for new employees; respond to employee questions and concerns and provide information to clarify policies and procedures
  • Coordinate closely with Payroll and other HR team members on any changes that may affect employee pay
  • Experience discussions with departing employees
  • Identify and communicate possible improvements in the work process for customers and peers, recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department
  • Cross-trained to input employee information into HRIS system for new hires, benefit enrollments, terminations, and updates for employees
  • Cross-trained to conduct new hire orientation
  • Providing effective guidance to employees in relation to absence and health issues, conduct, grievance matters, organizational change, and all other employee-relations matters
  • Create procedures and processes to evolve the HR department as we scale and grow
  • Respond to general employee inquiries and liaise with other business lines, as required to support inquiries

About You

  • Bachelor's degree with specialization in Human Resources or equivalent HR/business experience
  • CHRP designation is an asset
  • 4+ years of experience as a human resource professional, preferably in a distribution environment
  • Ability to build effective relationships at all levels in the organization
  • Self-directed and motivated leader who promotes best practice and leads by example • Strong command over HR management software such as applicant tracking systems, HRIS and compensation modules
  • Strong communication, analytical and problem solving ability
  • Proficient in MS Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Knowledge in employment legislation including employment standards, privacy, and human rights
