About the Opportunity
- Partner with leaders and managers to build and implement people-related strategies and plans
- Owns compensation review process and salary recommendations for staff
- Serve as the point of contact for all employees and managers, maintaining knowledge of the companies benefits, programs and policies
- Ensures compliance on employment legislation and acts as an SME on labor laws and best practices, advising leadership and team where necessary
- Own all employee relations, performance improvement plans, investigations and sensitive employee matters within your business unit
- Engage with heads of department, effectively communicating changes to policy, programs and happenings across the organization
- Partner with designated department leaders, understanding needs and deploying HR interventions
- Support people team process owners to drive necessary actions with the assigned associates to encourage participation / ensure compliance
- Collaborating with other cross-functional stakeholders to drive outcomes (Talent Acquisition/Finance) as needed
- Providing timely, accurate and meaningful data for management reports
- Contribute towards company culture initiatives, employee wellness and development programs
About You
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field
- 5-7 years of experience relevant experience
- An understanding of Canadian employment legislations
- Experience managing complex employee relations issues
- Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies
- Must exhibit proficiency in leadership, communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality
- Able to meticulously maintain records and documentation
- Ability to acquire a thorough understanding of the organization’s hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, compensation practices, and the administrative practices related to those factors
Salary
$75, 000 - $90, 000/year
