- Track and document transactions through the fund investment process and update fund databases as required
- Assist the Director, Funds Management in the preparation of information and analysis for senior management to support fund management decisions (i.e., purchase or disposal of assets, financial re-structuring)
- Provide support for regular Fund Management Committee meetings:
- Prepare meeting agendas and supporting documents
- Prepare, file and distribute committee meeting minutes
- Assist with the analysis of, structuring and creation of new funds (incl financial modelling), as well as the wind-up of funds reaching final maturity
- Assist in the maintenance of the KYC/AML database for investors
- Assist with credit reviews of portfolio mortgages to track evolving credit risk, update mark-to-market calculations and assess proposed subsequent drawings and/or amendment of terms
- Assist with site visits of commercial properties as part of on-going portfolio monitoring
- Participate in and document capital allocation decisions
Capital Management
- Work with detailed financial models to evaluate and forecast the debt and equity capital requirements of the investment funds.
- Assist the Director, Fund Management with maintaining relationships with capital partners
- Complete periodic reporting requirements to capital partners
Investor Relations / Capital Raising
- Assist with preparation of analysis and reports to existing fund investors
- Assist with the preparation of marketing materials for new funds and new investors
- Organize and maintain confidential information memorandums (CIM) used to market funds to investors, and the CIM database of source material
- A university degree, preferably in business, real estate or mathematics
- Previous real estate/mortgage lending or underwriting experience would be beneficial
- Proficiency in working with MS-Excel and MS-PowerPoint as well as the other MS-Office suite of programs
- A self-starter who has the ability to work with a minimum of supervision in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
- A team player who is able to manage a number of divergent tasks.
- Good communication skills; both written and verbal
