Senior Financial Reporting Consultant (Closed)

The Financial Reporting Analyst is responsible for the monthly consolidation, financial reporting, public company disclosure obligations and IFRS adherence and implementation. The Financial Reporting Analyst reports to the Corporate Controller. The working conditions for this role are approximately 95% office and 5% factory.

About the Opportunity

• Timeliness and accuracy of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
• Lead/coordination of year-end audit of financial statements
• Accounting policy recommendation and implementation
• In house technical expert on IFRS
• Drafting of quarterly MD&A and press releases and management business update
• Adhere to, update and improve on the existing internal control process documentation
• Preparation of internal reporting to management
• Monitor emerging technology to determine ways to automate the reporting processes without sacrificing accuracy and accountability
• Communication with internal stakeholders on their operating and capital financial results
• Preparation of all public company regulatory filings
• Special projects as assigned by Corporate Controller, CFO

About You

• Financial Accounting:  advanced knowledge of current technical issues pertaining to Canadian public companies
• University degree
• CPA designation with 5 to 7 years working experience
• Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Comfortable in dealing with people at all levels within the organization
• Regulatory filings: Management’s Discussion and Analysis of results for inclusion in annual and quarterly reports, Annual Information Form, Management Information Circular
• Excellent knowledge of spreadsheets and above average computer skills
• Extremely analytical and highly organized
• High energy and interest in manufacturing operations

Pay Rate

$40/hour
