Financial Controller (Closed)

About the Opportunity

• Maintain full set of books
• Compile weekly and monthly management and financial reports including properly accruing job costing revenue and expenses
• HST return preparation and filing
• Monthly reconciliation of bank accounts
• Preparation of journal entries for month-end and closing procedures
• Manage annual audit (preparation of statements, gathering info, etc.)
• Actively participate with annual budget preparation
• Ad hoc reports and other duties, as required

• Superior time management and organizational skills, as well as the ability to meet deadlines and set priorities
• Drive and focus to complete tasks and establish process
• Ability to multi-task and adapt to varying work projects
• Excellent ability to work as part of a team and independently
• Ability to analyze and reconcile numbers/accounts with minimal errors
• Ability to process map and analyze bottlenecks and areas of improvement
• Ability to implement new process and systems, and troubleshoot systems as required
• Strong attention to detail and consistent high level of accuracy
• Ability to correspond effectively with all levels of management with exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Proficiency with Excel at an intermediate to advanced level
• Completed a post-secondary accounting degree, diploma, or certificate
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Finance/Accounting role
• Completed (or working towards) CPA designation

Salary

$60,000 - $70,000/year
