Financial Analyst - Operations (Closed)

About the Opportunity

• Support external auditor onboarding by leading transition plan, reviewing internal control documentation, and enabling the finance team to gather and prepare sufficient schedules and analysis
• Support implementation of processes to address new accounting and revised tax requirements
• Assist in analysis and memos for Board reporting
• Assist in day to day operational duties as required, including transactional support, reconciliation or other analysis
• Assist in the audit and annual report preparation
• Assist or lead ad-hoc projects and analysis as assigned

About You

• University degree in a relevant field such as Finance, Business or Accounting
• Professional accounting designation
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in accounting, financial analysis and reporting
• Experience working across departments and engaging with all levels of management
• Superior problem solving skills and ability to work within deadlines
• Sound financial knowledge with in-depth knowledge of GAAP, financial statements and internal controls
• Excellent communication, writing and presentation skills
• Excellent Microsoft application skills
• Ability to work independently, as well as with a team of professional accountants/analysts
• Knowledge of securities industry would be an asset
• Experience with Microsoft Navision and Adaptive insights an asset
• Knowledge and experience with commodity taxes is an asset

Pay Rate

$35 - $40/hour
