Financial Analyst, FP&A Trade (Closed)

About the Opportunity

• In depth monthly analysis/forecast to drive key financial metrics and foster an environment of continuous optimization
• Work with the FP&A team and independently across the company to provide analysis and insight to key stakeholders, including company leadership, in core processes as well as on a project basis including profit opportunities
• Support Trade Manager in future and post analysis relating to trade and slotting activities
• Support internal process improvements and controls; continually identify opportunities for automation to allow the team to perform world-class analytics
• Responsible for driving and supporting financial close activities, ensuring trade and slotting are accrued accurately, providing key stakeholders with insights to budget and prior year
• Assist the Trade manager with budget planning, forecasting and other corporate financial requirements  
• Support the achievement of trade targets, and drive improved trade profitability:
  • Review future trade activities, ensuring they are on strategy
  • Support post analysis on customer agreements
  • Perform trade spend ROI post analysis, providing insights to Sales Operations
• Provide support relating to:
  • Trade strategy
  • Customer agreement renegotiation
  • Temporary deals
  • Branded customer level pricing
  • New business opportunities

• Develop and maintain tools and templates where appropriate
• Complete other tasks as required to support:
  • Sales Planning
  • Commercial FP&A Managers
  • Corporate Finance

• Ad hoc where applicable

About You

• Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting, three years in finance roles (trade or sales support), in a CPG organization
• Advanced knowledge of Excel, systems, linking data from multiple sources
• Advanced analytical skills
• An ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize workload
• Strong knowledge of accounting practices and regulations
• An ability to drive company processes and controls throughout the organization
• An ability to work independently and self-motivate in a fast-paced and rapidly-changing environment
• A work ethic based on a strong desire to exceed expectations
• Strong interpersonal skills — including written and oral communication skills
• Strong financial modeling skills
• Strong leadership skills

Salary

$65,000 - $70,000/year
