Financial Analyst, Forecasting (Closed)

Our client is a publicly-listed real estate company and they are looking for a Financial Analyst, Forecasting who will be primarily responsible for compiling quarterly forecasts, performing financial analysis, and preparing supporting schedules for various presentations.

About the Opportunity

• Perform analysis on property-level leasing assumptions for purpose of testing reasonability, documenting trend analysis, and verifying inputs
• Prepare detailed variance analysis for property-level NOI and summarize the findings for presentation to Management
• Compile supporting schedules and perform variance analysis to prior forecast and year-over-year for various budget/forecast inputs
• Perform research for forecasting inputs, such as interest rates, as well as competitor, industry, and other information for investor presentation support
• Coordinate and liaise with cross-departmental internal staff
• Prepare ad hoc “what-if” scenarios and sensitivity analyses for management, as well as other functional departments, as required

About You

• CPA, CFA or In-Progress, MBA, etc.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Finance or Accounting function, preferably with a public company
• Real Estate industry experience an asset
• Adept with IT tools; superior spreadsheet skills to design and implement thoughtful and complex analytical models and/or improvements

Salary Range

$70,000 - $80,000/year
