About the Opportunity

Assist with monthly financial accounting, including journal entries, month end analysis, to ensure timely and accurate reporting of monthly financial results from business units within the portfolio
Prepare monthly financial reports and help define reporting infrastructure for new acquisitions on a rapidly growing portfolio (STEM)
Assist with the consolidation and review of forecasts, quarterly disclosures, and monthly reporting packages including variance analysis
Track and report key business indicators on a monthly basis
Assist with the preparation of interim and year-end working papers for accounting and tax audits
Prepare or assist with account reconciliations on monthly basis
Assist with intercompany reconciliations on a monthly basis
Prepare checks and balances for all accounts at the head office level
Prepare ad hoc financial analysis as required by management

About You

Attained a Business/Finance degree (i.e. BBA, Comm. etc.) working towards and near completion of an accounting designation (CPA)
Minimum of 2 years experience working in a Finance/Accounting role
Advanced skills and experience in MS Office Excel
Excellent administrative and organizational skills with ability to adjust and respond professionally to changing priorities and ad hoc issues
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to interact with all levels management
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
Experience with Great Plains accounting software an asset
Capable of working as part of a team and independently
Excellent time management

Salary Range
$75,000/year
