About the Opportunity
Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Financial Analyst will be responsible for the month end and year-end processes, general ledger account reconciliation, analysis and financial reporting. The Financial Analyst will also assist in the annual budget process

Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Financial Analyst will be responsible for the month end and year-end processes, general ledger account reconciliation, analysis and financial reporting. The Financial Analyst will also assist in the annual budget process
- Coordinating, reconciling, analyzing and verifying accounting information
- Preparing the month-end packages within set timelines
- Reviewing and analyzing expenses and operating trends compared to budget
- Maintaining fixed asset system
- Preparing and maintaining various commodity tax and regulatory filings
- Preparing audit packages for statutory and other audits as required
- Assisting in the preparation of the annual budgets and forecasts
- Assisting with other functions within the Accounting department as appropriate
- Providing recommendations on internal control procedures, system improvements and process enhancements, and assisting in implementation of approved changes
- University Degree – Bachelor of Arts, Commerce/Economics
- Completion or near completion of CPA designation required
- Minimum of 3 years of related experience required, knowledge of the financial service industry would be an asset
- Proficient in Microsoft Office with advanced knowledge of Excel
- Familiarity with Multiview accounting software an asset
- Ability to prioritize workload, meet strict deadlines and multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience working within a team environment
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Detail oriented with logical and solid understanding of accounting principles
$65,000 – $75,000/year
