About the Opportunity

• Completion of full cycle accounting activities under ASPE and IFRS accounting standards such as:
• Preparation or review of monthly journal entries and supporting schedules
• Reconciliation of key balance sheet and income statement accounts
• Reconciliation of clearing accounts and resolve variances
• Annual Financial statement note disclosure
• Preparation of monthly reporting on defaults, delinquencies, and early terminations
• Preparation of monthly Servicer / Funder reports for the securitized portfolio. Ensure completeness and accuracy of the report as well as prepare analytics.
• Preparation of tranches for securitization and communication and coordination with Funders to close transactions
• Reconciliation and management of cash activities for repo business line
•  Proactively identify and address the root cause of issues encountered during performance of tasks / analytical reviews and communicate results to executives
• Assist with implementation of automation and efficiency improvement opportunities
• Support of annual audit and funder site audits by preparing and maintaining schedules
• Other projects, duties, and tasks as assigned from time to time

• 3+ years relevant work experience in the financial services field
• Full cycle accounting experience
• Post-secondary education with a specialization in Finance or Accounting
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, etc.)
• CPA or CPA equivalent designation is an asset
• Experience with Sage 300 ERP or similar accounting software is an asset
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Agile and analytical problem-solving capacity

Pay Rate
$35/hour
