About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Senior Financial Analyst, the Financial Analyst will be responsible for the day-to-day processing and reporting for several concession entities (structured as partnerships) and will assist with ad hoc analysis as needed

  • Oversight of day-to-day activities and transactions at multiple concessions including processing receivables/payables, preparation of cheque runs, EFTs and management of the general ledger
  • Preparation/update of financial models on a monthly basis
  • Preparation of month end concession reporting packages to multiple key stakeholders/partners as needed, ensuring variance analysis provided is complete and accurate
  • Management of the treasury function at the concessions and preparation of monthly cash flow forecasts
  • Assistance with annual forecasting and budgeting for several concessions
  • Able to deal with issues as they arise and ensure problems are resolved on a timely basis
  • Assistance with execution of loan draws, principal and interest payments, operating and maintenance payments, in accordance with deadlines
  • Assist with the preparation of annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS for applicable concessions and holding companies
  • Assist with the annual audit process and prepare assigned schedules for the auditors; also manage partner internal audits as needed for applicable concessions and holding companies
  • Assist with the timely preparation, review and filing of partnership and holding companies tax returns, as well as monthly reporting for GST, HST and QST returns
  • Ability to update covenant calculations and ensure compliance with credit agreements
  • Able to work with minimal supervision
  • Understanding of critical planning of key accounting tasks in advance so no issues of payments or deliverables getting missed or any other compliance matters not being attended

About You

  • Ability to think critically, work through problems and document a solution
  • Thorough understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards IFRS
  • Able to work with multiple small businesses; multiple GL’s
  • Able to maintain and understand working financial models
  • Possess excellent organizational skills and is able to work with minimal supervision
  • Understanding of critical planning of key accounting tasks in advance so no issues of payments or deliverables getting missed or any other compliance matters not being attended to
  • Strong Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills; QuickBooks and audit experience would be considered an asset
  • Ability to adhere to strict deadlines and set priorities as required
  • Excellent written, oral and electronic communication skills

Salary

$65,000 - $70,000/year
