About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Senior Corporate Controller, the Financial Analyst (“FA”) will aid in the support of international commercial team through financial analysis including pricing analysis, preparation of monthly/quarterly/ad hoc reporting, and budgets and forecasts. The FA will be responsible for analyzing performance, communicating results and assisting in financial diligence in the company’s decision-making process. The position provides an excellent opportunity to work closely with cross-functional leaders and will play an integral role in providing financial analyses on the fast growing international business to drive strategic decisions

  • Commercial Finance – Provide commercial finance support to the international sales, marketing, product development, and operations teams. Build and maintain financial models to predict, assess, and report results, and perform ad hoc analyses in order to provide actionable information that will impact the company’s financial results, automate processes to drive efficiency and operational excellence;
  • Budget and Forecast – Manage the international entities’ financial planning process for budgets, reforecasts and financial projections. Responsible for quantifying the financial impact of business initiatives, recommending viable options and validating key assumptions. Manage the budget and reforecast timelines, submissions and scenario analyses
  • Variance Analysis – Analyze monthly, quarterly and yearly results against prior year and budget/reforecast. Provide deep insights by understanding, analyzing and explaining variances while providing tangible recommendations for improvement
  • External Reporting – Aid in communicating timely and accurate financial results including causes for variances against prior year/budget and forward-looking implications. This includes assistance in preparation of MD&A, financial results press release, board meeting materials and providing investor relations support as required
  • Special Projects – Global expansion projects, system conversion, cost saving and other ad hoc projects as required.

About You

  • Obtained or working towards a Professional Accounting Designation, with a strong business understanding
  • 2+ years in a financial role, audit experience or CPG experience preferred
  • Exceptional analytic and financial analysis skills, ability to dig into detail without losing sight of the big picture
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, and experience with financial modelling
  • Excellent time management skills ability to multitask, manage deadlines and prioritize deliverables
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Preference given for business proficient Mandarin

Salary

$70,000 - $75,000/year
