Our client is a Global Professional Services Company with offices all over North America, Asia, Europe and the Middle East. They are looking to hire a Financial Analyst, who will primarily be responsible for the corporate accounting function for the Company including Month end reporting.

About the Opportunity

• Review daily bank account transactions and apply Cash Receipt on payments received
• Coordinate workflow between Billing and Payable, mainly sub consultant invoices, to ensure appropriate approval in place
• Preparation of journal entries for month-end and year-end closing
• Complete bank accounts, credit cards and vendor statement reconciliations
• Enter General Ledger transactions (month-end, adjustments, accruals)
• Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, including balancing to the general ledger, determining the source of any discrepancies, and making necessary corrections
• Assist with the ongoing development, improvement, and implementation of financial policies, procedures, and processes
• Maintain capital asset depreciation, lease liabilities and other amortization schedules
• Run various reports and analyze information to record journal entries and ensure financial information is captured accurately
• Assist financial reporting process, including month-end close procedures and updates
• Contribute to preparation of quarterly and annual audit working papers
• Assist with special projects and provide support to the team as needed

About You

• Successful completion of post-secondary education in Finance or Accounting
• Completion or in final levels of CPA designation
• Strong technical aptitude towards learning computer software systems and procedures
• Proficiency with MS Office applications with a focus on Excel
• Understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (IFRS and GAAP)
• Experience with ERP system or cloud-based accounting software an asset
• Experience in a multi-currency environment beneficial
• Knowledge of Canadian sales taxes record keeping is an asset

Salary Range

$75,000-80,000/year
