Financial Analyst (Closed)

The Financial Analyst will be responsible for the preparation of all fixed asset accounting, reporting, and invoice coding. Activities include maintenance of the fixed asset register, fixed asset continuities, account reconciliation, journal entry preparation and posting, financial reporting and analysis, validation of monthly Fixed Asset activity, and coding of fixed asset and information technology invoices. Various other accounting entries/processes are completed as instructed

About the Opportunity

• Prepare full cycle IFRS accounting of the company’s fixed assets acquisitions/additions, monthly depreciation, retirements, and disposals using the Dynamics NAV Fixed Assets module
• Allocate the fixed asset clearing account to proper fixed asset categories throughout the month
• Prepare journal entries for asset transfers when required
• Prepare subledger to general ledger reconciliations
• Provide requested information as needed to external auditors and tax consultants
• Participate in new projects that involve fixed assets
• Track and update foreign exchanges in Dynamics NAV
• Track equipment inventory account and liaise with IT and Store Construction on-going basis
• Responsible for coding of IT invoices CAPEX and SG&A
• Liaise with Accounts Payable, Information Technology, and Real Estate departments to resolve any coding issues in the fixed asset clearing account
• Preparation of ad hoc reports and analysis

About You

• Completion of recognized accounting certificate or diploma
• Minimum 1-3 years of relevant experience
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment
• Strong Microsoft Office knowledge is a must, including Excel and Outlook
• Proficiency with Dynamics NAV Fixed Asset modules is an asset
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy

Salary

$45,000 - $55,000/year
