Financial Analyst

About the Opportunity

  • Support the preparation of executive management financial reports
  • Develop and maintain the financial model of daily operations
  • Analyze sales performance by market and product type; analyze price/volume mix by product
  • Prepare commentary on key financial drivers
  • Develop charts for visual presentation of financial performance
  • Provide analytical support for Ad Hoc business reviews and initiatives; develop business/financial models for short/long term forecasts for executive review
  • Develop sensitivity analyses to support executive decision making
  • Develop sales and margin forecasts by incorporating product launch estimates and assumptions
  • Support the annual budget cycle from data collection/validation to scenario analysis and creation of report packs for executive review
  • Work with production facilities in the development of their budgets and have an understanding of operational issues
  • Develop and implement costing model across the organization for use in product development/pricing activities
  • Work with other Finance staff and senior management to accomplish timelines, address issues and pursue process improvements

About You

  • CPA designation in good standing (or close to obtaining)
  • University degree specializing in Finance
  • 5-7 years business/financial analysis experience (CPG/Manufacturing experience an asset)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
  • Strict attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to present concepts at all levels in an organization, particularly at the senior management level
  • Strong ability to anticipate management information requirements
  • Able to work independently in a proactive manner
  • Excellent organizational abilities
  • Advanced technical proficiency in all aspects in Excel, and the rest of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Specialist knowledge and experience in Microsoft Dynamics an asset
  • Able to work well under pressure and meet set deadlines
  • High level of personal integrity
  • Strong work ethic
  • Self starter
  • Positive outlook and a can-do attitude

Salary Range

$65,000 - $70,000/year
