About the Opportunity
  • Responsible for the configuration and maintenance of financial systems that are directly used by the finance department, additionally managing and supporting projects to improve the financial systems
  • Maintain and update all users in the billing system including their initial set-up, security, dashboards and roles
  • Investigate and resolve application functionality and technical-related issues; provide first level support and troubleshooting, wall builder and time keeping
  • Provide assistance and advice to business users in effective use of the billing software application
  • Identify modification requirements in existing applications to meet changing user requirements
  • Managing the implementation of system installations, upgrades and testing
  • Assisting with time and matter closing during the month-end and year-end process
  • Design and create End User documents by analyzing business, user and firm requirements; constructing workflow charts and diagrams; studying system capabilities; writing specifications
  • Create and maintain technical procedures and documentation for new and existing applications including operations user guide, etc.
  • Working with the Sr. Financial Systems Administrator to prepare, review and format various reports, using the tools of the Firm, related to client, matter and timekeeper statistics that are required monthly or at other regular intervals and ad hoc reports that may be requested by management from time to time
  • Maintaining and reviewing of basic 3E configuration options, ensuring adherence to various Firm policies and best practices to maintain healthy files and databases
  • Other duties as assigned from time to time
About You
  • Post-secondary education, with general accounting knowledge
  • 3+ years of Financial Systems experience
  • Experience working with SQL DB and queries
  • Ability to deal directly with users for requirements
  • Willingness to do technical support work as needed and work with outside consultants
  • Working knowledge of Chrome River is considered an asset
  • Excellent time management skills, able to prioritize and meet deadlines in a high-pressure environment
  • Able to work independently and as a participative member of the Finance/Accounting Team showing initiative
  • Problem solving skills, able to identify issues, analyze, generate alternatives, implement and support a solution both their own and those of others
  • Exceptional organizational skills and a keen level of attention to detail
Salary
$85,000/year
