About the Company
Our client is a leading software company who has expertise in operating businesses around the globe. They are looking for a Finance Manager who will be responsible for overseeing the financial accounting and control of legal entities spread across North America. They will work closely with the finance team providing strategic vision, direction and leadership to ensure accurate reporting and compliance to IFRS. Reporting directly to the Finance Director, the role will be responsible for the full cycle accounting, financial reporting and analysis, compliance, as well as work closely with partners to resolve complex queries and help manage the regions adherence to deadlines and deliverables. They will also assist the portfolio team with any due diligence and integration as a result of acquisitions.

About the Opportunity
Build and retain an effective finance team
  • Foster a collaborative and positive finance team while soliciting feedback from internal stakeholders.
  • Attract, retain, and develop financial team to meet the goals of the department.
  • Challenge the status quo by reviewing and strengthening systems, processes, and internal controls.
Oversee Accounting and Administration department
  • Provides leadership and is responsible for all finance activities, accounting, tax, forecasting, credit, and treasury functions for businesses within the portfolio.
  • Ensure timely and accurate closing of financial period end closes (monthly, quarterly, annually), including analytical review and account reconciliations.
  • Identifies, assesses, and reports key aspects of the organization’s financial performance through forecasts, accurate and timely consolidated financial reporting, including monthly reporting packages for the portfolio, and completion of quarterly disclosures.
  • Accountable for tax (sales related tax, income tax, etc) and other statutory compliance obligations.
  • Implement process improvements to accounting processes and procedures to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Perform related administrative duties as assigned.
Assist in financial diligence and integration
  • Assist in financial due diligence, identifying risks and opportunities of potential acquisition targets through analysis, auditing, and discussions with management.
  • Assist in post close financial and system integration and govern newly acquired businesses.
  • Assist in onboarding finance teams
Assist other functions and processes across the organization
  • Liaise with CSI head office and internal audit as required.
  • Ad hoc projects as required.

About You
  • CPA
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience which includes managing a finance team.
  • Advanced knowledge of accounting and financial reporting principles (IFRS is a strong asset), including best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Great Plains an asset.

Salary Range
$110,000 to $120,000 /year
