About the Company
Our client provides a comprehensive solution for financing and managing licensed cannabis cultivators, processors and dispensaries. They are looking for a Finance Manager who will be responsible for month-end accounting cycles, financial reporting and business planning activities for various subsidiaries of the Company.

About the Opportunity

• Manage all accounting operations including A/R, G/L, Inventory/Cost Accounting, Revenue Recognition and various prepaids and accruals. This includes reviewing/preparing balance sheet account reconciliations where applicable.
• Work closely with A/P team to review and ensure accurate posting of expenses and reconciliations of vendor accounts
• Manage month-end closing and prepare monthly financial statements and other operational reports.
• Must work across organizational boundaries and all levels of the company to achieve plant, state or corporate objectives.
• Integrates and trains new staff while leading the continued professional development of the existing team.
• Provide proactive/unsolicited consultation, interpretation and education of complex financial and operational matters to various departmental leaders used to drive business decisions.
• Collaborate with General Manager, FP&A, and senior management in preparing cash flow projections, explain results, make improvements, manage projects, identify inefficiencies, understand operations and lead the development of complex analysis.
• Monitor and implement internal controls (in conjunction with corporate policies) as necessary to ensure reporting integrity, safeguard company assets and identify risks.
• Ensure proper accounting in accordance with U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) as well as any local statutory requirements.
• Contribute to implementation of additional accounting modules and add on/new financials systems (automation/ERP).
• Support the year-end financial audit and tax preparation process with external auditors.

About You

• CPA Designation
• CPG and / or manufacturing experience is preferred, but not required
• Minimum of 5+ years of relevant accounting experience
• Experience managing or supervising a team
• Strong PC skills including advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge and ERP software (QuickBooks, Sage X3)
• Knowledge of U.S. GAAP, procedures and application

Salary Range
$110,000 - $120,000/year
