About the Opportunity

• Preparation of monthly and quarterly financial packages for internal stakeholders, including financial statements, investment reports, and analysis of financial information.
• Responsible for reviewing and completing full cycle accounting duties, including bank reconciliations, posting journal entries, accruals, and intercompany transactions.
• Help manage the corporate budget process. Including analysis of actual vs budget for Company overhead and providing insights on variances for management decision making.
• Responsible for mentoring Senior and Junior Accountant and reviewing work such as HST filings, bank reconciliations, credit card reconciliations, employee expense coding, and AP processing.
• Oversight of cashflow processes. Including monthly cashflow reports, managing monthly cash forecasts, working with the teams to ensure cashflow needs are met.
• Manage annual audit process, responding to auditor inquiries, preparing relevant working papers, and ensuring appropriate accounting treatment under ASPE.
• Prepare and review legal entity financial statements for compliance and tax reporting purposes.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives, including automation and system implementation.
• Help prepare FATCA/CRS reporting and monitoring/updating investor tax forms
• Provide support for tax returns preparation.
• Pro-active approach to the role and input for improvements/enhancements to the current processes
• Involved in special projects as required, including helping on transactions

About You

• CPA designation completed or in final stages
• Minimum of 4-5 years of related experience required
• Strong full cycle General Accounting Experience/knowledge
• Proficiency with Accounting Software QuickBooks and/or Yardi
• Knowledge of tax and related experience is an asset

Salary
$105,000 - $115,000/year
