About the Company
Our client is part of a leading software development company based in the US, Europe, and Australia. They are looking for a Finance Manager who will oversee a team of Staff accountants and senior accountants as well as help consolidate financial reporting, disclosures, analytics and account reconciliations for portfolio. In addition, they will ensure internal controls are being followed and perform financial analysis as required.

About the Opportunity

• Direct and coordinate the accounting, budgeting and overall financial operations including administrative and technical supervision of Finance team of four,
• Manage the success and performance of staff accountants, taking responsibility for their training, development and mentorship,
• Challenge the status quo by reviewing and strengthening systems, processes and internal controls,
• Provides leadership and oversees activities for all finance, accounting, tax, forecasting, credit, and treasury functions for select Business Units,
• Consistently refine and improve on policies and procedures relating to financial and business practices of the organization,
• Executes external and internal financial reporting, strategic planning to create organizational financial policies and plans relevant to the growth and long-term sustainability of the organization,
• Implements a strategic framework and policies for controllership areas of accountability, formulates and manages an effective system of internal controls and procedures to safeguard the organization and ensure healthy cash flow,
• Ensure timely and accurate closing of financial period end closes (monthly, quarterly, annually), including analytical review and account reconciliations,
• Identifies, assesses, and reports key aspects of the organization's financial performance through budgets and forecasts, accurate and timely consolidated financial reporting, including monthly reporting packages for Business Unit Managers, and preparation of quarterly and annual disclosures complying with IFRS standards,
• Assist post close integration and acquisition on boarding,
• Accountable for tax (sales tax, corporation tax, etc.) and other compliance obligations,
• Provide contract/legal support with customers and vendors and negotiate various agreements as required,
• Assist other functions and processes across the organization,
• Liaise directly with various accounting groups within the Parent Company as necessary regarding various reporting package and periodic requests,
• Liaise with CSI head office and internal audit for business units,
• Ad hoc projects as required.

About You

• CPA designation
• Accounting firm and Full cycle accounting experience
• Managerial experience preferred
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and Excel
• Experience working with Microsoft Great Plains is an asset

Salary Range
$90,000 - $100,000/year
