Our client is a leading global alternative asset manager with approximately US$600 billion of assets under management across real estate, infrastructure, renewable power, private equity and credit. They own and operate long-life assets and businesses, many of which form the backbone of the global economy. They are looking to hire a Finance Manager, who will be responsible for private reporting requirements.

About the Opportunity

• Reviewing fund financials under US GAAP for LP investors and other users (including individual investment summaries)
• Reviewing BBU public reporting in accordance with IFRS related to private fund entities
• Review of PCAP and available commitment schedule on a quarterly basis
• Overseeing the team’s interaction with various service providers to ensure information being provided is accurate & provided in a timely basis
• Assistance with valuations of fund investments on a quarterly basis
• Review of tax financials prepared on a legal entity basis
• Preparing internal and external audit requests and maintaining appropriate control documentation
• Thorough understanding of the legal structure of the various funds and the related impact on funds flows and consolidation
• Assist with analysis of complex accounting issues that arise
• Provide oversight on any improvements to the reporting process and actively coach team members
• Special projects & ad hoc requests as required

About You

• University degree
• Professional accounting designation (CA preferred)
• Minimum of five years of progressive work experience in finance and/or accounting functions
• Experience in private funds and knowledge of the investment management industry, and experience dealing with complex ownership structures would be an asset
• Strong financial systems experience, including advanced Excel

Salary Range

$100,000-110,000/year
