About the Company

Our client is a large manufacturing organization. They are looking to add a Finance Manager to their team, reporting to the Director of Finance. As a Manager, you will be responsible for two direct reports and the monitoring, assessment and improvement of all activities within the accounting department.

About the Opportunity

• Maintain the accuracy and integrity of the General Ledger and financial reporting systems
• Manage functional areas of Management and Corporate reporting, General Accounting, Inter-company and Inventory Accounting and Costing
• Staffing decisions and performance appraisals
• Coordinating month and year-end activities
• Analyze and report on the monthly results, including product line P&L’s, variance analysis
• Monitor and analyze the balance sheet to ensure accuracy and adherence to GAAP
• Prepare monthly reporting package
• Co-ordinate, prepare and review monthly forecast and annual plan schedules
• Prepare working papers for annual corporate income tax returns
• Quarterly Corp. tax submissions and all financial audits
• Monitors Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and testing

About You

• CPA or CPA In Progress
• 5-10 years of progressive experience in an accounting function
• Working experience with a large ERP (SAP preferred)
• People management experience is an asset

Salary Range

$90,000 - $110,000/year
