Finance Business Partner - 6 Month Contract (Closed)

Our client is sourcing for a Finance Business Partner for 6 months to permanent opportunity

Reporting to the Vice-President, the FP&A role will oversee the planning, budgeting, and forecasting cycle in the business. The FP&A role will work with Sales, Marketing and Operations to generate ROI on projects, product and customer profitability and develop 3–5-year plans.
 

About the Opportunity

• Prepare annual budget and monthly forecast models (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow)
• Develop ROI for Sales, Marketing and Operations projects
• Develop customer and product profitability reporting
• Competitor and market analysis
• Prepare annual 3–5-year plan
• Assist in ad hoc analysis for Sales, Marketing and Operations
• Act as the point person and lead the development of operational manufacturing KPI’s, reporting and scorecards in partnership with the VP of Operations and Plant Manager
• Improve financial decisions by analyzing results, monitoring variances, identifying trends, and recommending actions to management
• Drive operational performance and improvement through product gross margin analysis, trade spend effectiveness, manufacturing metrics such as waste analysis, purchase price variance and material usage variance analysis
• In partnership with the operations team own the measurement and monitoring of standard costing, cascade impacts in the latest forecast and monitor inflation trends to provide input into the monthly standard cost review process
• Assist in Monthly Financial Reporting
• Monitor cashflow forecasts to actual
• ERP system utilization for budgeting and planning
• Special projects for VP, Finance and CEO

Qualifications:

• 3-5+ years in progressive FP&A roles
• Experience in a manufacturing / CPG environment required
• Strong FP&A with financial modelling (balance sheets, income statements, cash flows, budgets, forecasts)
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business or another relevant financial field
• Accounting designation required
• Strong FP&A acumen in a fast growing and fast pace environment
• Strong Microsoft Office Suite experience including, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
• ERP experience required
• Experience with Microsoft Nav an asset
• Experience with Just Foods an asset

Pay Rate

$50/hour
