They are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to be responsible for financial analysis and reporting as well as tax/audit duties within the Finance department.

About the Opportunity

• Identify process and procedure improvements and adopt best practices to foster an environment of continuous improvement, ensure compliance with developed policies, controls and procedures
• Improves operations by analyzing financial results, developing forecasts, identifying trends and providing recommendations to management
• Oversees all tax requirements including US and Canada, develops and supports plan for US tax filing and reporting at the state level. Advise management on desirable operational adjustments due to tax code revisions, better tax planning strategies and how to organize the consolidated company
• Provide support to manager for year-end Canadian tax form preparations and other initiatives to streamline financial business processes
• Provide support in preparing for audits of company’s accounts and corporate tax return
• Work with other finance team members to ensure timely closing of month end and year end for all subsidiaries
• Work with internal teams to improve key financial performance metrics including DSO and AR & inventory turnover rates
• Provide other ad hoc reports to management as required

About You

• CPA or in-progress
• 3 years of solid GL reporting with key analytic and problem-solving skills
• Technology savvy with experience in ERP software, proficient with Microsoft Dynamic 365 is definitely a plus
• Strong knowledge of ASPE, GAAP as well as Canadian/US/UK sale tax regulations
• Experience from a public accounting/audit firm is an asset

Salary Range

$80,000 - $90,000/year
