About the Opportunity

• Preparation and the development of annual and monthly operational plans
• Monthly & quarterly financial statement reporting for Management and Ministry
• Prepare, analyze, and report monthly, quarterly margin analysis by service
• Analyzes variances, identifying risks and progress versus plans and making corrective action recommendations
• Plans and analyzes performance against service unit metrics
• Reviews and processes invoices and payments for accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Assist in preparation of grant applications/studies as needed
• Provides service activity reporting with community partner agencies (as required)
• Creation/development of systems and processes for managing the program on an on-going basis
• Provides financial support for other initiatives through completion of ad hoc analysis and reports

About You

• Advanced skills with MS Excel, Office 365 required and experience with accounting software (Great Plains) would be an asset
• Knowledge and understanding of financial controls, not-for-profit accounting and ministry reporting standards
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Detail-oriented with superior analysis and problem-solving skills
• Canadian professional accounting designation (CPA, CA, CGA, CMA)
• Diploma in accounting/finance required; University degree is an asset
• 3-5 years’ relevant experience

Pay Rate

$40/hour
