Position Description:
- Manages and coordinates the financial administration for assigned Divisions.
- Preparation of large, detailed customer invoices
- Preparation and submission of monthly financial statements with full analysis and commentary to Senior Staff.
- Variance analysis on income & expenses as support to the monthly financial Statements.
- Provide assistance to Manager as required to increase profitability of the division/company.
- Maintain accounting records within Business Central
- Performs month end close; Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and inter-company accounts.
- Assists GM with annual budget preparation
- Maintain/oversee timely vendor invoice processing and perform/oversee customer collections.
- Work closely with the management team by providing analysis to improve efficiencies
- Ensure billings are completed in a timely & accurate manner
- Responsible for producing monthly financial statements & associated variance analysis for the division
- Other normal accounting duties – bank reconciliation, fixed asset recording, account analysis, budget, year end working papers
- Monthly & annual reporting for our industry
- Supervise/mentor accounting assistant
- Partner with GM and provide any assistance needed
- Strong excel skills required
- Maintain positive relationships with all staff, vendors, clients .
- Maintain and create production/statistical databases/Excel tables.
- Ad Hoc reporting. Assist Accounting department as required.
- Performs other related duties as assigned
- CPA designation or finalist is preferred.*
- Minimum 5 years of experience in working in fast paced, dead-line driven accounting environment.
- Attention to detail and willingness to assist in other departmental functions where needed.
- Demonstrated ability to handle conflicting priorities and in meeting deadlines.
- Excellent proficiency with productivity software, MS Office Suite particularly Excel
- Strong skills in using accounting software applications - Business Central, Quickbase
- Strong organizational, time management and interpersonal skills to function in a deadline driven environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with employees at various levels of the organization.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
- Administers payroll for company, submitting hours and documentation to corporate office for processing
