About the Company 
Our client is a large private manufacturing company, and they are looking to hire a Director, Project/Program Management Office.

About the Opportunity

• This will be a brand-new role for the company of 3500 staff across North America (5 subsidiaries in the US), about 1700 in Ontario (10-11 locations including 5 plants)
• This person will be setting up project/program management office from scratch (including team, processes, etc.)
• This PMO will encompass both IT and business projects/programs
• We are looking for someone who has been a part of large-scale transformation/change
• Large initiatives will include an ERP upgrade/implementation across the business, and modernization of technology across the organization
• This PMO role will be reporting to the CIO

About You

• 10+ years of experience leading an internal PMO or Program/Portfolio delivery team, preferably in Manufacturing
• Experience implementing framework, methodologies, standards, processes, and tools, to provide project portfolio and program management consistency.
• Experience defining and implementing project delivery strategy, methodologies, standards, and tools, to provide consistency of project implementation
• Experience leading / building PMO teams
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Commute to the East Toronto office 2-3 days per week

Bonus Items:

• Experience setting up Project and Program Management Office in a large enterprise
• Manufacturing industry experience
• Certification in Project Management (PMP, Prince 2)
• Certifications in Program Management (PgMP), Management of Project Portfolios (MoP), and Change management (CCMP, CM2) are considered assets.
• Experience with large transformations / technology implementations

Salary Range
$170,000/year
