About the Client
Our client is looking for a Director of FP&A to join their team.

About the Opportunity
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to develop multi-dimensional reporting frameworks that support decision making as well as the annual business plan and forecasting cycles
  • Work closely with senior management to create the annual business plan and updated forecasts
  • Prepare executive level reports including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial results, forecasts and budgets for Executive team and Council (Board)
  • Key member of operating team focused on strategic initiatives and ensuring resource availability
  • Support and oversee high-level financial analysis and related visualization through use of Power BI
  • Play a key role in overall financial data strategy, governance and aligning with internal stakeholders on consistency and accuracy
  • Provide guidance, mentoring and coaching to finance team members and business unit leads to support the business with insightful analysis, a solutions orientation and business partnering approach
  • Develop and communicate the annual business planning calendar including budgeting, forecasting and initiative planning
  • Participate in special projects requiring financial analysis to support operational decision making

About You
  • 10+ years progressive and relevant experience
  • 4+ years of people leadership and building high performing teams
  • CPA Designation required
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint including experience building detailed financial models and executive style presentations
  • Experience working with Power BI or other visualization tools is preferred
  • Strong analytical skills coupled with significant experience analyzing and summarizing large amounts of data with ability to identify and provide insight into key issues
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills; comfortable working with and articulating financial concepts to executive teams
  • Good working knowledge of accounting standards for private enterprises/not-for-profit organizations
  • Hands-on leader with ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Self-starter / self-motivated / operate independently
  • Ability to work long hours when required with tight deadlines
  • Able to work collaboratively with colleagues and other stakeholders at various levels
  • Builds strong relationships with key players
  • Takes a proactive approach to meeting stakeholder’s needs
