Director of FP&A (Closed)

Our client is a distributor of specialty chemicals and ingredients. They are looking for a Director FP &A. This role will leverage both financial and systems background, project management and process knowledge to be able to facilitate improvements while completing several Finance related projects within the company.

About the Opportunity 

• Lead annual planning process for the Company including, quarterly forecasting of financial results and eventual move to rolling twelve month forecast, acting as project manager and key point of contact for the business units, ensuring all budgets are reasonable, comprehensive and completed on time  
• Lead the preparation of monthly reports, analyzing financial performance versus budget and driving corrective actions with the operational teams when required   
• Develop a deep understanding of key business drivers and effectively communicate to key stakeholders, including the Leadership Team through regular reporting and ad-hoc deliverables  
• Understand, evaluate and ensure capital projects remain within budget and follow up on ensuring the approved return on investment is maintained  
• Consolidate regional monthly financial presentations and provide detailed variance analyses and commentary on financial and operational results  
• Analyzes expense data for the Company. This includes performing a review function of expenses recorded to ensure they are accurate, properly accounted for and authorized, and adhere to policy guidelines  
• Review FP&A processes and procedures in order to provide recommendations to drive continuous improvement and better accountability  
• Perform ad-hoc business analyses, and financial modeling. Present recommendations to senior management on strategic decisions, and planned future initiatives  
• Provide financial support and analysis for various ad hoc projects and bridge results between scenarios  
• Assist in the Assessment of the internal control environment across the organization, identifying risks, assisting in the development of action plans and test to ensure action plans are implemented 

About You 

• CPA, CA, CMA, or CGA 
• 6+ years FP&A experience   
• Experience implementing process improvements/ efficiencies 
• Experience working in Distribution environment preferred 

Salary Range 

$140,000 to $150,000/year
