Our client is global market leader in B2B distribution of electrical products. They are Canada’s leader. They are looking for a Director of Finance responsible for the integrity of all financial information for the organization and is fully integrated with all operation units of the company.

About the Opportunity 

• Develop and maintain timely and accurate financial statements and reports 
• Variance Analysis 
• Review financial results with management and branch managers 
• Supervise the daily activities of accounting staff 
• Balance sheet integrity and reconciliation 
• Manage the accuracy of day-to-day activities of invoicing, perpetual inventory integrity, fixed asset records, general accounting, cost accounting, etc. 
• Review and maintain appropriate accruals for Obsolescence, Rebates, Bad Debt, Bonus and other miscellaneous items 
• Payroll oversight and headcount reporting 
• Prepare short and long-term financial forecasts 
• Ensure that all statutory requirements are met including Income Tax and sales Tax 
• Compensation plan creation and administration 
• Provide Leadership and accounting strategy, to optimise the company’s financial performance and strategic position 
• Safeguard assets and assure accurate and timely recording of all transactions by implementing disciplines of internal controls and follow up on the recommendations from internal audit/control to be implemented 

About You 

• CPA 
• 7+ years of related working experience with management experience (ideally at the Sr. Manager or New Director level) 
• CPG industry experience preferred, but not required 
• Experience working in medium to large size company required  
• Very strong with Excel and Power BI 
• Experience with SX and/or Cognos preferred 

Salary Range 

$145,000 - $155,000/year
