They are currently looking for a Director of Finance who will be responsible for month-end, monitoring of cashflows, process improvement, management of audit, mentorship of team Eventual growth into more operational duties and FP&A duties, growth  and mentorship of the growing team.

About the Opportunity

• Reviewing the day-to-day accounting activities and implementing proper workflows to improve efficiencies
• Guide the Controller and Finance Team on their activities and deliverables
• Manage financial controls and create documentation of accounting processes and policies
• Provide consolidated financial and operational performance reporting monthly, historical and forecasted, using appropriate
• metrics that will improve overall financial performance and allow the organization to reach or exceed its financial goals,
• Maintain the balance sheet that is fully reconciled monthly
• Optimize ERP functionality and implementing workflows as required
• Ensure robust controls over intercompany transactions with monthly reconciliation
• Develop consistent approach to month-end closing and reporting of financial results
• Oversee legal compliance and reporting across all legal entities
• Develop consistent processes across the company to support business decision making
• Manage the chart of accounts to enhance reporting and to support analysis of all business channels
• Advise on all accounting related matters and ensure 100% compliance with all relevant accounting standards
• Manage audit, tax, banking, and treasury functions and engage with external advisory partners as required
• Manage working capital and liquidity position
• Ensure the responsible use of all credit facilities
• Ensure that the company remains in good standing relative to debt covenant obligations
• Coordinate and produce all tax documentation in Canada, US, and other countries, as required
• Minimize tax exposure and ensure that financial statements remain in good standing with external audit and advisory
• partners
• Support the entire Finance team, conducting regular check ins with team members one-on-ones and as a group
• Ensure management of accounts payment, purchase orders, and accounts receivable are always up to date
• Ensures maximization of all programs available, such as duty drawbacks
• Demonstrates integrity and ethical leadership
• Support CFO as needed and willingness to jump into any function to complete activities needed

About You

• CPA
• 7+ years progressive financial experience, at least five of which are in a senior management capacity
• Technically strong in accounting principles, practices, and procedures
• Experience with financial reporting and analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and business planning. · Proven ability with implementing ERP systems and developing reporting

Salary Range

Up to $115,000/year
