Director of Finance (Closed)

About the Opportunity

• Responsible for full-cycle tasks,  journal /adjusting entries, prepare reconciliations,  perform financial analysis, prepare and present monthly, quarterly and annual financial results, etc.
• Implement improvements within short time frame to ensure accurate financials, with appropriate controls and timely reporting
• Provide direction and management to current/existing finance team (1 Finance lead,part time, 1 Bookkeeper, part time and 1 Billing, full time)
• Liaise with and report progress to Director of Finance of Acquirer
• Interaction with other internal business managers and external advisors and consultants 
• Play a key role in integration planning and execution with external professional services firm and acquirer

About You

• CPA designation 10 or more years post qualification
• Ability to see big picture but also roll-up sleeves to implement improvements 
• Ability to work independently and get up to speed in a very short time frame
• Canadian experience (previously as Director of Finance, Controller, VP Finance)
• Acquisition and integration experience
• Strong management and communication skills
• Solid accounting/finance knowledge
• QuickBooks and Advanced Excel (Advantage)
• Possess strong  management and communication skills
• Ability to improve business processes and support operations
• Ability to work collaboratively across business units
• Strong work ethic and excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with sales taxes – GST/HST; QST & BC PST 

Pay Rate

$60/hour
