Director of Finance (Closed)

About the Company

Our client is a growing investment organization. They are looking to hire a Director of Finance who will be responsible for Canadian investment entities and accounting. This role will also manage third party tax service providers for compliance and planning.

Company Culture

• Very reasonable work hours (9-5 PM on average)
• Working closely with senior leadership, the Director, Finance will have the opportunity to engage in dynamic and strategic planning across the investment portfolio

About the Opportunity

• Oversee and assist in the preparation of financial statements, tax returns, and other forms of reports
• Manage internal staff and third-party tax service providers for compliance and planning opportunities across several countries
• Manage banking and insurance relationships and assist in treasury functions across various platforms
• Assist investment team in due diligence of investment opportunities as required
• Assist portfolio companies as necessary

About You

• CPA
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in CPA public accounting with preferences to individuals familiar with private company and investment holding company accounting and tax experience
• Completion of CICA Tax In-depth (or in process) is an asset

Salary Range

$110,000 - $120,000/year
