Our client is a leading organization in the property services industry. They are looking for a Director of Finance who will be responsible for overseeing the client accounting in the market. This role will also lead the financial reporting and governance for a portfolio of many client corporations along with managing the relationships with the auditors.

About the Opportunity

• Lead the Client Accounting Department
• Oversee the Toronto portfolio
• Technical Lead/Expert on Client Accounting
• Preparation of client financial statements by the due date
• Completion of client audits by the due date to ensure AGMs are held on time
• Completion of client budgets by the due date
• Convert External Auditors from Detractors to Supporters
• Develop and maintain SOPs, checklists and controls around key processes and outputs of the Department (Startup, Banking, Investments, Audits, Budgets)
• Maintain Corporation Tracker and Client Accounting KPIs
• Lead/contact for Client Banking and Investment
• Attend Board Meetings and be the Client Accounting and Banking expert at meetings

About You

• CPA with preference for CA
• Experienced Managers from public accounting (any size firm)
• Work experience from industry with solid financial reporting and auditor liaison experience
• Strong people management skills and experience leading sizeable teams
• Understands how to build and maintain a culture of service excellence

Salary Range

$115,000 - $120,000/year
