About the Opportunity 

• Lead the performance of in-depth analysis (including building financial models), provide sound financial advice and recommendations to business partners, measure performance of key initiatives business drivers, and provide action steps as needed 
• Continuous partnering with cross-functional business partners to critically evaluate assumptions, risk, and opportunities within the planning/budgeting process 
• Leverage analytics to produce insights and drive business performance, work with the various business functions (i.e. Investments, Marketing, IT) to create meaningful KPIs, and identify trends and patterns to generate meaningful insights 
• Collaboratively prepare and deliver presentations for senior leadership teams 
• Lead the preparation of analysis and material for regular and ad hoc projects and presentations (e.g., quarterly Audit committee materials, Monthly Board Flash); 
• Maintain an understanding of industry trends, key business / cost drivers, accounting policies etc. 
• Proactively identify and implement process improvement opportunities and automation solutions to enhance efficiencies and scale 
• Lead the preparation of the quarterly Audit Committee Report as well as the Annual Planning 
•  Oversee the ongoing maintenance and refinement of the annual planning process as well as the management reporting deliverables 
• Lead the development and implementation of process and procedure improvement projects within FP&A Team 
• Recommend and test changes to financial reports ensuring they remain current and meaningful 
• Provide people leadership to the FP&A team by providing regular coaching and ongoing development conversations 

About You 

• CPA, CA with an audit firm background and experience with audit and technical accounting 
• 8-10 years of progressive experience in business / financial planning and analysis 
• People management experience  
• Real estate (retail/commercial) industry experience is an asset 

Salary Range 

$150,000 - $165,000/year
