About the Company

Our client is a large organization in the professional services industry. They are looking to hire a Director, Financial Planning and Analysis to be responsible for overseeing the planning, budgeting, forecasting and analysis of actual results.

About the Opportunity

  • Support the business unit leaders through analysis that is actionable and provides management with the ability to appropriately manage costs
  • Oversee an efficient and comprehensive process for developing financial plans
  • Develop and prepare high quality, timely and accurate monthly reporting packages that provide a summary and segment variance analyses (business unit / asset class), KPI’s, cost savings, and insights into key business trends
  • Conduct analyses of specific targeted line items, strategic project costs and expense categories
  • Prepare high quality presentations for the executive and senior management, clients, and Boards of Directors, as required, for any of the above
  • Ensure the functionality and accuracy of financial forecasting models, including maintaining the inputs, outputs and key assumptions
  • Develop and maintain contacts with other peer companies to keep up-to-date on industry and competitor development to assist with managing our business, as well as responding to industry issues and concerns on a timely basis
  • Review and analyze any external benchmarking of costs and provide guidance on the results to senior management
  • Develop analytical tools and trend reports to assist the team with reviewing results and monitoring cost centre and asset class budget to actual comparisons
  • Maintain compliance and update appropriate cost allocation policies, methodologies and models to ensure strategic business objectives, industry best practices, and contractual guidelines are met
  • Update processes and systems for new client onboarding (cost allocation, implementation fee recovery, downstream reporting for net performance, etc.)

About You

  • CPA or MBA
  • 10+ years of total work experience, 8 years of experience in financial planning and analysis with 2 years in a managerial or leadership role
  • Financial Services experience
  • Strong working knowledge of accounting practices and principles

Salary Range

$125,000 - $140,000/year
