About the Opportunity

• The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader, with a focus on innovation to help drive process improvements and optimize systems to strategically support the financial accounting, planning, analysis and reporting needs of the Research Directorate
• Driving processes for long-term financial planning, annual budgeting, and quarterly forecasting, internal management reporting activities and other key financial decision support
• Partners extensively across the finance function and with operational leaders in improving financial performance, reporting and business analysis
• Ensures appropriate internal controls to safeguard hospital assets and reputation, for accurate reporting and compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements
• Ensures appropriate financial policies, procedures and metrics are in place to deliver quality service and effectively monitor the use of hospital resources
• Oversees management of the cash flow and balance sheet with particular emphasis on debt and working capital
• Helps identify business risks and opportunities
• Manages the annual financial audit for the Research Directorate, and works closely with internal and external auditors to ensure optimal internal controls
• Works closely with th company’s foundation partners in matters related to research funding
• Provides direction and coaching to a highly motivated and experienced research services management team
• Contributes to the broader Hospital & research strategies through participation in enterprise wide projects and committees

About You

• CPA
• 7+ years of progressively senior financial management experience in a complex organization providing broad knowledge of controllership and financial reporting
• Previous experience in leading significant organization change in a large de centralized environment

Salary Range

Up to $130,000/year
