About the Company

Our client is a large publicly traded retail organization. They are looking for a Director, Systems and Projects who will oversee the selection and implementation of a new ERP system, in addition to optimizing critical business and financial processes.

About the Opportunity

• Leads the project for the transformation of the company’s financial systems including managing all aspects of the assessment, selection, design and implementation of a new ERP system. This includes responsibility for evaluating and benchmarking current state processes and systems, identifying gaps, pain points and inefficiencies and defining the future state
• The preparation of the future state systems and processes includes defining business requirements, defining and documenting future state processes and proposing and evaluating solutions to improve efficiency, controls, and automation
• Leads the review of critical business and financial processes (order to cash, procure to pay, record to report), and proposes solutions for optimization including through automation. Defines and documents future state in conjunction with the evaluation and implementation of the ERP system
• In partnership with the information technology department, manages processes related to current financial systems for the finance organization which include governance, maintenance and upgrade activities
• Leads all change management activities including communication and training associated to the roll-out of new processes, ERP and other financial systems
• Implements and documents standard operating procedures for users for financial systems and processes
• Serves as the in-house expert on financial systems and associated processes
• Manage all controls and governance requirements related to all financial and reporting systems

About You

• CPA
• 10+ years of experience of relevant experience including in project management, financial system implementation and process optimization
• Strong understanding of financial and supply chain operational process flows (i.e., order to cash, procure to pay, record to report)
• Experience in a Retail/ CPG organization an asset
• Experience in a publicly traded organization an asset

Salary Range

$160,000 - $180,000/year
