About the Opportunity

• People Leader, Coach & Active Listener: Lead a team of 4 responsible for accounting, accounts payable, audit management, financial reporting, tax and treasury. Lead their training and development, performance evaluation and maintaining a healthy and collaborative work environment.
• Financial Accounting and Reporting: Oversee the ongoing accounting function and financial reporting calendar to meet critical reporting timelines. Be the in-house technical accounting expert that ensures compliance with US GAAP, federal, state and local laws and accounting principles in the US, Canada, UK, Romania and Australia.
• Audit Management: Manage the relationships with external auditors and government authorities. Effectively negotiate and defend the Company’s accounting positions and manage audits to be on time and on budget. Prepare complex technical accounting and tax memos, working papers, and consolidated financial statements with note disclosures in compliance with US GAAP.
• Collaborate with the FP&A and Revenue Assurance Teams: Produce high-quality monthly, quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements, MD&A and management reports; provide thorough analysis of the financial data and effectively communicate key findings, opportunities and risk. Partner with the other senior leaders to continue building and optimizing the next generation of people, systems and processes to support growth and increased complexity within the business.
• Expense Management: Be a business partner to support the success of several KPIs across the business, especially related to expense management. Own the systems, processes and policies that govern expense management including vendor management, employee expense management, corporate cards and other areas within Procure to Pay.
• Financial Systems: Own the financial reporting framework of NetSuite and make recommendations for system improvements and oversee the implementation of approved changes across the department.
• Tax: Participate in global tax planning and strategy (transfer pricing, SRED) with the VP of Finance and coordinate tax return compliance and preparation with our global tax advisors.
• Treasury: Manage the day-to-day banking administration and lender relationships, compliance reporting, cash management, forecasting and analysis.

About You

• CPA
• Previous experience leading global accounting operations as a Controller/Senior Manager
• 2 years of people management experience
• Advanced knowledge of US GAAP/IFRS
• NetSuite or similar ERP systems
• Experience preparing consolidated financial statements and note disclosures and managing auditors and government agencies
• Experience partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to drive results

Salary Range
$130,000 - $140,000/year
